Serpent’s Gaze launches in Early Access today

Serpent’s Gaze launches into Early Access today, bringing another cooperative action RPG into the increasingly crowded space where Soulslike combat, roguelike build pressure and group suffering all shake hands. The game supports one to four players and sends them through handcrafted desert levels filled with tough enemies, bosses and a Curse system that stacks difficulty modifiers across runs.
That last part is the hook. Instead of purely procedural levels, Serpent’s Gaze appears to lean on replayable challenge layers and build construction, which could help it feel more deliberate than a standard randomized dungeon crawl.
Early Access makes sense for this kind of game because balance, enemy pressure and co-op tuning are everything. If bosses feel unfair, runs drag or builds lack variety, players will complain loudly and immediately. But if the combat lands, this could become a solid smaller co-op obsession for players who like their friendship tested with dodge rolls.
